This Privacy Policy describes how Kleis Commerce (“we,” “us,” or “Kleis”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with its data and intelligence applications, including but not limited to data processing, AI structuring, and omnichannel analytics features (collectively, the “App”).

This policy applies to Shopify merchants (“Merchant,” “you”) who install and use the App, as well as to information relating to your customers or business partners (“End Users”), where applicable.

By installing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

To provide the App’s functionality, we collect and process the following categories of information.

A. Information from the Merchant

Store and Account Information

  • Shopify store domain
  • Store contact email
  • Store identifiers required by the Shopify API

Business and Operational Data

  • Product data (e.g., titles, SKUs, variants, Metafields)
  • Inventory-related data across connected sales channels
  • Order-related metadata required for analytics and tagging
  • Configuration settings created within the App

Uploaded or Connected Data Sources

  • Files uploaded by the Merchant, including PDF, Excel, CSV
  • Data imported via connected tools such as Google drive.
  • Structured or unstructured datasets provided by the Merchant for processing

B. Information Related to End Users (Customers)

Depending on how the Merchant uses the App, the following data may be processed:

  • Customer identifiers available through Shopify (e.g., customer ID, tags)
  • Customer-related order and interaction metadata
  • System-generated customer classifications or labels (e.g., VIP, inactive, churn-risk), created solely for Merchant analytics and operations

Note: The App does not collect customer passwords, payment information, or sensitive personal identifiers.

2. How We Use the Information

We use the collected information only to provide and improve the App’s services, including the following purposes:

A. Data Standardization and “Golden Data” Processing

  • Parsing uploaded files and connected datasets
  • Identifying parameters using NLP techniques
  • Normalizing units, formats, and values
  • Converting structured results into machine-readable formats (e.g., JSON)
  • Building and maintaining a unified “Golden Data” dataset for Merchant use

B. AI Semantic Structuring

  • Translating factory or technical parameters into sales-friendly terminology
  • Generating tags and structured attributes
  • Detecting abnormal or inconsistent parameters
  • Assisting in automated content generation, such as metadata descriptions

C. Omnichannel Intelligence and Analytics

  • Aggregating inventory data across multiple channels
  • Identifying slow-moving inventory and generating alerts
  • Automatically generating customer tags for segmentation and analysis
  • Supporting Merchant decision-making through internal dashboards

D. System Operations and Improvement

  • Monitoring system performance and errors
  • Maintaining logs for troubleshooting and audit purposes
  • Improving accuracy, stability, and user experience

3. AI and Automated Processing Disclosure

  • The App uses automated and AI-assisted processing to analyze, classify, and structure data provided by the Merchant.
  • AI-generated outputs are assistive and informational in nature
  • Final business decisions and actions remain under the Merchant’s control
  • Kleis does not use Merchant data to train public or third-party AI models

4. Data Storage and Security

Data Storage

  • Data is stored on secure servers controlled by Kleis or its infrastructure providers
  • Access is restricted to authorized systems and personnel only

Security Measures

  • Encryption in transit and at rest where applicable
  • Access control and logging mechanisms
  • Industry-standard security practices to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data.

We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With the Merchant: Merchants can access their own processed data, analytics, and logs
  • With Shopify: As required to operate within the Shopify platform
  • Legal Obligations: When required by law, regulation, court order, or governmental request
  • Service Providers: Infrastructure or tooling providers acting solely on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations

6. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Data is retained for as long as the App is installed and actively used
  • Upon App uninstallation, Merchants may request deletion of associated data
  • Certain data may be retained temporarily for legal, security, or operational reasons, after which it will be deleted or anonymized

7. Your Rights

Merchants retain full control over their data.

You may request to:

  • Access your data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data
  • Export your data, where technically feasible

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product or legal changes.
